Your catalog should be a source of truth, not another brochure

When chat, shop and microsite disagree, the team ends up negotiating mistakes.

Each product needs a useful definition

A useful product record explains what it is, its price and configured availability. Use recognizable names and photos matching the offered item. Verify representation of variants or special conditions before promising them. An operational offering needs more precision than a promotional post because it must support an order.

Current price, current promotion

A fictional shop's old post advertises an expired discount. Customers may arrive asking for that price. The agent needs current information and the business needs a discrepancy procedure. Avoid parallel catalog versions across documents, saved replies and unchecked spreadsheets. Assign updates and check how the offering appears to customers.

From catalog to follow-up

BeeAgent uses enabled shop tools to connect inquiries with catalog and order workflows. The microsite presents configured offerings; the team follows up on orders. Published availability isn't necessarily advanced inventory or external synchronization. Test a fictional purchase and verify product, quantity, price, status and ownership before inviting customers.

Put it into practice

  • Review active product names, descriptions, photos and prices.
  • Remove expired promotions and obsolete catalogs.
  • Assign updates and microsite checks.
  • Confirm availability and inventory-integration scope.
  • Test a complete order and inspect what the team receives.

The takeaway

A reliable catalog prevents sales from starting with information corrections. Conversations need an offering the business can fulfill and the team can maintain.

Editorial guidance, not a results promise. Capabilities depend on enabled tools and configuration; business examples are fictional.
